I actually already replied to your long message a few days ago but my browser crashed so I had to retype it or leave it for later. Now is later even if I don't have a lot of time.
In this crashed message began explaining how I felt towards the idea of the "reliability feeling" I can have towards another person (allowing him/her a certain number of "credits"). About the amount of them I probably gave 100 on 100 to my mother when I was a baby. This quantity was reduced in proportions of my increased ability of analysis and criticism (criticism at its peak when I was a teenager...). One can think "of course but it is a detail! ". Nonetheless when it comes to stopping (or not) along the motorway to take this hitchhiker or not, it can possibly have significant consequences can't it ? So when I say "yes I agree to become a (net) friend with this person" it is difficult to evaluate the amount of credits I decide to give to the person. I don't know why but I find this topic very important nowadays.
I was wondering if you were "caught towards" GS with the books of AE Van Vogt (The world of Null-A) ?
I can say in my case reading it was my first serious contact with GS. And I suppose for French speaking people, it can be a first step into a real non elementalistic way of thinking. (It has been translatedat the timeby Boris VIAN, famous french writer, etc. )
Thanks for your clean start. I consider that the more you get to know people around you the more you can possibly build something with them.
To explain my comment (9th June), I must admit I felt surprised to see that you hardly speak about yourself in your answers. Mind you one could also give plenty of words without saying a lot about herself/him~. How do you call General Semantics in Germany? Do you get any organization with members in this field? In France, I know Société Française de Sémantique Générale (still active), European Society of General Semantics (active in between 1996 and 2003, I think).
