differences that make a difference

On my Korzybski Files weblog I've got a new posting on a dramatic demonstration that Korzybski used in his seminars in the late 1940s. There's a neat video of a similar demo that I included. Jump to the link below to view it. http://korzybskifiles.blogspot.com/2008/07/chain-reaction-dramatic-demonstration.html

Thanks, David.

I've got to talk with Ralph, soon. I already have his number and have had some good long conversations with him (interviews). But not in a while.

Say hello for me and tell him that I'm getting to the end of the Korzybski saga (I'm writing now about the years just prior to the founding of the IGS). Thank G-d, I can see a glimmer of light at the end of what has become a long tunnel of this biography project.

Hi Bruce,

Korzybski also did the same "explosion" at the Great Barrington summer seminar of 1949. Ralph was not there, and I had to set up the box of mousetraps -- yes, it was spectacular! One got the "feel" all right!

I also saw Ralph Hamilton's do the "mousetraps" in the Winter Intensive Seminar of 1948-49. Lot's of laughter and comment!

I telephone Ralph about once a week now and have long discussions. I was his "best man" at his wedding, in 1949.

He lives north of Las Vegas, NV. Ralph is about 89 years old but has his same lovely wry wit and merry sense of humor. If you would like to speak with him, I can ask him if he wants to, and then give you his phone number. When you phone he always lets the answering machine pick up, and only responds, "live" by picking up the phone if he knows you and wants to converse.

Thanks for the memories, Bruce -- good job!!

David
