"Different Names for the Same Thing" music of Death Cab for Cutie

I would like to know more about this recording. Why / how / by who, it was made.
I deeply loved it so much the first time I saw it. I'd like to know how the children have evolved now but I can bet most of them must remember the event in a very nice exceptional emotional way (?)

Funny that: I have put the tag 'Death Cab for Cutie" and the Ning system returns Death, Cutie, for, Cab ... !

PS I reloaded it as I didn't see any thumbnail for my first attempt. I think it seems more visual now.
