Well...i must admit i was completely wrong ahahah, first, i don't know why (not true, i've an idea) i changed "wisdow" in "freedom" , so i saw the title more something like "freedom walk" , ... second, i didnot noticed the shit's birds at the end of the vid, and three, i i thought it was something about freedom , and the road to "go for it" , with the birds at the end that could show how different freedom they can have compared to us ....

Well , may be it was a little far-fetched :o)) , i could feel it , and that's why i'm glad to have answer the question !
Good lesson for me , yes, things happened for some reasons....
Thanks ! :o))

Vincent, thanks for commenting. Yes, it's a play on "Shit Happens." Among my college students, there is a prevailing sentiment that "things happen for a reason" ... in other words, things happen according to some kind of divine plan and/or divine intervention. (And by implication, "everything" happens for "a" reason.)

The opposite end of the spectrum is "shit happens" ... which could be interpreted in the extreme as no correlation between effects and causes.

This little video was my attempt to visually articulate the notion that *some* things happen for *reason(s)* (plural) ... in order to avoid the presumptions that: a. everything happens according to some divine plan/intervention; and b. things only happen for ONE reason.

In this video, it's easy to see the shit on the sidewalk and the birds on the wire and make the cause/effect inference. However, the shit on the sidewalk in the video may not have originated from the actual birds in the video. So there's a justifiable inference that birds sit on the wire and shit on the sidewalk below ... but maybe not these particular birds.

There ... the explanation takes longer the video.
:)

Hi ! :o)
I like this video... i understand it in my way, but i'm not sure to understand correctly the sense of the end words , could you explain a bit the inference hidden in it ? What is supposed to be the "shit" here ? Sorry if my question seems a bit stupid, i just would like to be sure that my vision follow yours...
By the way, HI TO ALL !! :o))

Steve, congrats on another great compact lesson, delightfully executed. I imagined many different possible endings, but when I finally arrived at the end, it caught me by surprise, no doubt partly your point. Nicely imagined, nicely produced.
